In 1984, the world was shocked and amazed when park rangers discovered a four-year-old boy being raised by wolves in Yellowstone Park. International controversy erupted as the world watched the rangers separate the youth from the only family he had ever known. Protests and hunger-strikes pursued with detractors of the BLM's action vehemently attacking the agency and its supporters.

Then, in a bold move — and in complete disregard toward public outcry — President Reagan snuck a zero-hour bill through the House and Senate that granted a special executive power to an unnamed guardian for the child. In a press release, the President was quoted as saying, "It is for the betterment of the child, that he should know no public scrutiny, nor even remember the horrific events of his youth."

And that young, confused child was David Ash.

Well, it could have been. It would certainly clear up some cloudy issues, such as his frequent dreams of howling and rabbit hunting. Perhaps the spirit of the wolf still lives within him, and on strange nights after one-too-many Vodka-Red Bulls it breaks free of the cage society built for it so many moons ago. But then again, maybe he's just one wild and crazy guy.
